Frequently asked questions

Honest answers about what ridevue is, how it works, and what it is and isn't.

What is ridevue?
An independent tool for NYC rideshare drivers. It shows where ride demand has typically clustered across the city — by zone, hour, and day — plus the practical amenities you need on a shift (relief stands, EV chargers, restrooms, transit). It helps you decide where to head; it doesn't dispatch rides.
Where does the data come from?
Public NYC TLC trip records — millions of real, anonymized trips. ridevue does not see live demand from Uber or Lyft, and the data does not come from them. We compute a typical historical pattern per zone, hour, and day.
Will this make me more money?
We can't promise that. ridevue shows where demand is typically higher, based on history — it's a pattern, not a guarantee, and your results depend on many things we don't control. We deliberately don't show earnings figures. The idea is simple: better information about where the city gets busy can help you make your own call about where to drive.
Is ridevue affiliated with Uber, Lyft, or the TLC?
No. ridevue is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uber, Lyft, or the NYC TLC. Those names are used only to describe who the tool is for.
Does it give me turn-by-turn directions?
No. ridevue shows you where to head and then hands off to your own Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps with one tap. We stay out of the navigation itself — you drive with the app you already trust.
What about the WAV (wheelchair) bonus?
ridevue flags zones where wheelchair-requested demand tends to run higher. The city WAV bonus is set and paid by the platforms (and the amount can change) — ridevue does not pay, administer, or guarantee any bonus or amount. We describe demand; the platforms handle the rest.
What does it cost?
ridevue is free this week during the launch promo. After that it's $9.99/month, and you can cancel anytime — you'll always see the renewal date and amount before you're charged. See the Terms for details.
Do you track my location?
Only to center the map and find your current zone, and that happens in your browser. We don't continuously track or store your location. See the Privacy Policy.
Which cities does it cover?
New York City today. If you drive somewhere else, tell us where — it helps us decide which city to add next.
Who built it?
An active NYC rideshare/WAV driver, building the tool he wanted for his own shifts — not a boardroom. ridevue is a service of Alignix LLC.
How do I cancel?
Anytime — from your account (Stripe Customer Portal) or by emailing hello@ridevue.ai. Cancellation stops future renewals at the end of the current period.
